Display Name not showing up anywhere

My Question or Issue

After choosing a display name during account creation, it does not show up anywhere. My "Profile" shows the random alphanumeric username, and my playlists also use the random alphanumeric username as the author.

How can I get my display name to be used? Honestly it's very annoying and it's the only issue preventing me from upgrading to Premium. I think a paid service could do better, especially with a feature as simple as display names.

Any help is appreciated. Hope that this issue can be resolved and I will upgrade to Premium.

Apparently many of us are experiencing the same issue, and it has been around for a long time. I am disappointed with Spotify.

Thank you for contributing to the Ongoing Issue thread, since all the updates will be posted there. It's great that you posted the display name you want to have on your Spotify profile, it really makes it easier to fix that.
