Do i have to cancel my sub when i join family plan?

Hi, i just joined spotify family but i didnt cancel my previous sub. Now im wondering if i'll get charged for my previous sub or not?

Hey Aobi! Welcome to the community! 

 

Yes! If you accepted the invite on the same account you used to have Spotify Premium on, your Premium is automatically canceled and you won't be charged.

I would not allow me to accept without canceling, when I canceled and then re opened the invite it said my sub doesn't end until the end of next month and only offers for me to subscribe again for 9.99

Hey @Kieranburr, thanks for letting me know about this!

 

It sounds like you were subscribed with a third-party. It might take some time for the changes to reflect to your subscription status on spotify.com. You should be able to join Premium for Family after your subscription with the third-party has ended. Let me know how you get on! 🙂

I did NOT subscribe through a third party. I signed up with you. I've also
canceled some time ago and still have a subscription..

That's not cool! It sounds like you might have an additional account. I recommend following these steps to find all the accounts that you have. Also, if you have any screenshots, that'd be awesome! 🙂 Let me know how it goes!
