My Question or Issue

So originally my desktop app was offline even though I was on it less than an hour before. I soon after fixed that issue but Spotify logged me out, when i tried logging in it gave me this message, A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify. (Error Code: 101). I checked my firewall settings and not only was spotify allowed but it was checked on both private and public settings. I have no idea what's wrong and would appreciate help.

Hey there !

Thanks for reaching out to the community.

Sometimes this errors can appear when a bad installation or removing of a program was made.

What I'd suggest doing if the following:

- Make a full uninstall of your Spotify program

- Have you registry log cleaned and scanned for issues (you can use any free software you wish if you don't have one)

- Perform a disk clean up (temporary files etc) with Cleanmgr)

- Make sure all drivers on your computer are updated

- Install a new copy of Spotify

If you need more info on any of the steps i'll be glad to help!

Let me know if this made the trick.

Hey there,

Just checking to see if the steps i provided helped.
