Error message when trying to upgrade to Spotify premium

I have had spotify premium for the past year through my Vodafone plan. However last week I got a message saying my spotify premium had ended (even though under my plan I am supposed to have it for the next 12 months). After a week of trying to sort this out with Vodafone, I decided to pay for Spotify premium myself using the Student plan. 

 

I tried to upgrade using my card details (which I know has enough funds) but it did not work, so I tried to use PayPal instead. But I got the same error message before I could even enter my PayPal information - so the problem is not with the funds on my account. 

 

The error message I get is as follows:

 

'Oops! Something went wrong, please try again or check out our testing help area'

 

Pleaseeeee help! 8 days without spotify premium is really frustrating!
