Error whenever trying to pay by American Express / AMEX

I am trying to change my payment type from Visa to Amex / American Express.

Everytime I log in and try to do this I can fill out my Amex card details but when I press submit I get the error "Could not update payment details".

I've attached a screenshot below of this errror. Can you confirm if this is being fixed, thanks.

Is your AMEX registered in the same country as your previous card?

It is, yes.

I have tried this multiple times over the months - my guess is Spotify doesn't really want to pay Amex's higher fees, so it doesn't really work as an option - they just assume people will give up and use paypal or something else. 

If anyone from Spotify is reading this, or any of the other threads complaining about this issue, we'd love to get this working.
