Facebook Problems....Help!!!

Hi, I set up my spotify account this week.  At first it was showing all my facebook friends but now when I search it reads 'There are no friends to show at this time'.  Along with this, facebook has stopped showing what i listen to and also when i share a song on my feed, it will post in Spotify but not on my Facebook Timeline.  I have gone through ever messege here and have all my preferences correct.  I also have deleted and reinstalled everything several times to no avail.  Can anyone please help as it's beginning to drive me insane????

Thanks for replying Peter 🙂 I'm in Ireland!! I also got a friend to sign in from same pc and she has no probs so i just can't fathom it at all!! I did notice earlier on one occasion that when i logged in through spotify, disconnected from facebook, and reconnected, altough i had logged in the status read 'connect to facebook'!! I changed passwords, the lot, but doesnt seem to sync with my fb a/c anymore. I there any way to cancel my spotify a/c, make a new one, whilst saving the playlist i have created???

Hi there!

I can try disconnecting your Facebook profile from here so that you can reconnect it after through Preferences. Do you want to give that a go? I would also suggest logging out and then back in with the username aleanbh. 

If that doesn't work, you can always email support and they will help you create a new account and transfer your playlists.

If you get in touch with Spotify support here they would be able to do that for you. If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Definitely a very strange one! Do you have login approvals or two step authentication active on Facebook at all?

No Peter, I have neither actions active on my facebook login?!!!  On the initial setup of Spotify I could see myfacebook friends, post to facebook etc., then suddenly it stopped?!!  I will do as you say and escalate it to support, pending Patricia's attempt.  Many thanks for taking the time to respond.  Take care 🙂

@user-removed I've just disconnected your Facebook profile. Now I suggest you log out and then log back in with your username aleanbh and your Spotify password. Once you're logged in, head to Preferences (under Edit) and connect your Facebook account.

Ok, sorry to hear it's still not working. Make sure you mention we've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting your Facebook profile when you email support. It might also be worth reinstalling the app --instructions here.

Also, can you try logging into our Web Player and see if it works okay there? It's right here: https://play.spotify.com/.

I have been a Premium subscriber for nearly year and have always been able to follow my facebook friends on Spotify. I just added a new facebook friend and went to follow them on Spotify and none of my Facebook friends show up anymore. I have read nearly every post regarding this issue on the message board. I have tried every suggestion (I am savvy to the system and I am in the US). This seems like a Spotify PROBLEM and not a end user issue. Please Spotify fix this immediately or you will lose me as a customer and many others. I have hunderds of Facebook friends and I did not mind they started showing up only 6 at a time on the search. NO ONE shows up in my list anymore. What is the point of Spotify without this feature?? Thank you for your time and assistance

I'm trying to find a radio station that was lost when i added another radio station.Facebook was where i usually could find it but when i clicked on the spotify section of my facebook page, it showed EVERYTHING that i listened to on spotify including showing the individual songs from whole albums and songs that i didn't even listen to.I've been scrolling down for about an hour now and still haven't gotten to the radio station that was lost.My facebook page finally locked up and i had to refresh it.Now i have to START ALL OVER.VERY FRUSTRATING.I guess i could try to delete each song, but that would take a LOT of time.When i finally find that radio station, i'm going to remove that app!Does anyone know how i can get to that information i need through a search or something?This is RIDICULOUS!

I have found a way instead of trying to scroll down for hours upon hours waiting on the page to load each time is to click on the activity log where the edit section is on the top right hand corner and it will show you a smaller and more manageable section where you can get down to the very bottom.I never did find my missing radio stations b/c it stopped after a year.Be aware if you put your spotify activity on Facebook, it will put ALL your activity whether you like a song from a radio station or star a song or start a radio station, it is ALL shared in 1 section.This program needs to be updated to where you can choose what you want to share from spotify to Facebook.
