Is the Spotify Family plan available yet in Canada?
My wife and I both have the free accounts and would like to switch to the family plan, however when we click on Upgrade, we don't see any kind of link to the family plan.

I think at this point they should simply say "Release date in Canada: indefinite"
So, 7 months since the first announcement, and it is still coming soon. I can't figure out why every country can get this and not Canada. I know, we have insane licensing issues up north, but it's just a price drop we are talking about. That can't be related! If it's website related, is it that there is not the "Priority" to get Canada updated to accept the family plan? At the very least, if there is a reasonable reason that we don't have it yet, let us know. We are somewhat rational people.
My wife just signed up for slacker, since she claims she likes it better and its the same price. Before doing so, she asked the question.. "Does spotify have it's family plan price out yet"?
"No", I replied with a sigh.

What the hell is taking so long for the family plan to be available in Canada? At this rate, I suppose I'll just cancel our accounts and sign up for Apple's new music service, at least they have a family plan that's available.

Waiting for Apple to roll out theirs. I don't even care what the service will be like - I'll just switch. btw - I am a full paying customer!
I agree. Canceled my auto-renew and will be signing up with Apple Music on June 30th. Plus prices are cheaper for family subscription at Apple.
It's baffling how something so simple changed my view completely of Spotify.
Same here. I am an RDIO users that decided to tryout Spotify premium for 3 months... I believe Spotify to be a better service but RDIO as family plan in Canada. Apple Music family plan sounds very good to me.
Cancelled mine today too! Spotify will be losing 4 accounts because of this nonsense!
agreed. You have until June 30th Spotify. Get your act together.
My family of four, currently paying over $40/month for Spotify Premium, is now trying out Apple Music. We wouldn't have even bothered looking if Spotify Family had been available. Now, if Spotify doesn't respond to the new music streaming environment in the next few days, all four of us are gone.
cancelled all my Spotify accounts today for my family. (4 total) Signed up for Apple Music which supports up to 6 family members (which Spotify has yet to release in Canada after 9+ months....) and has EXPLICIT support included! We're now happily listenning to music for much much cheaper and I don't have to worry about my kids listenning to anything inappropriate. You had your chance Spotify and you blew it!
Just closed our accounts as well - probably wouldn't of even looked at Apple Music if it wasn't for the lack of family plan support in Canada.
i thing is to late for spotify, they loosing costumer. Now you have music (apple) and the family option is alrady working. very desapointed from spotify. good look spotify , you better have a good plan to resolve that big issue and a better deal again apple.
They have until the first of september and my patience will have been streched to the limit!..... my daughter and wife have been waiting for the familly plan for ever! and it better be at the same price as appple. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 🙂
