Family plan subscription for Canada

Is the Spotify Family plan available yet in Canada? 

 

My wife and I both have the free accounts and would like to switch to the family plan, however when we click on Upgrade, we don't see any kind of link to the family plan.

Hey there,

 

unfortunately the family plan isn't available in Canda (yet) but is probably rolling out somewhere in the feature. 

I'm waiting for this too!

 

I still can't understand why it takes so long to get any new features here in Canada for services like these.

Its an account setting, from what I can tell all spotify sites use the same backend. (I used to see prices from another country when Spoitify Canada first launched)

 

any ETA? I'm sure there must be some sort of rollout schedule!

Ok, Spotify, time to let Canadians in on the deal. We promise to be polite.

If you go through the list of the countries on the family plan page, Canada is one of only a very few that still haven't received this feature for some reason.

this is so frustrating.. seriously?! wtf?

how many hoops do we have to jump to get things released in Canada???

If I didn't enjoy Spotify as much as I do I would have cancelled for something lame like this!

Any update on Spotify family plan for Canada?

The original post was Dec 3 and there has been no reply from Spotify for over a month.
Spotify family plan was announced in October and I was hoping to get my family on it for Christmas.
Found this thread with no update for Canada.
I posted to bring it to the top so it would be noticed again.
Could someone from Spotify reply to this thread.
Even if it is to say that you have no plans to include Canada in this offer.

The initial press release from Spotify said that Spotify family would be available in every single country that Spotiy is available in.

 

It said every country would be getting it in the "coming weeks".

 

So Canada will likely be getting the family plan sometime in the near future.

That was 3 months ago. Can we get an updated ETA?

Spotify announced it's new Family plan on October 20th 2014 and that it would "roll out globally over the upcoming weeks".

That was over twelve weeks ago.

 

In my book that is misleading - 'weeks' implies less than 'months' ie 3/4/5/6 weeks. That announcement should have read 'upcoming months' not weeks as they obviously knew it was going to take that long.

 

Surely Spotify can give a realistic indication on when Spotify Family will be made available to Canadians. Or, if not, at least explain what the delays are (in some detail please, not a generic political answer).

 

Sorry for the rant but come on Spotify, please communicate effectively on a release date, before I (and other Canadians like me) start to seriously consider your competitors.

I just cancelled my sub until this gets sorted out. I'm paying way too much for this service as I have myself and 2 other family members who use Spotify. Hopefully Spotify will get their act together soon for us Canadians!

they should have simply said "eventually" instead of "within a couple of weeks"

I wish somebody from Spotify would actually update us regarding the status of the Canadian launch of Spotify Family.

Looks like it is coming soon but not soon enough. Here is the reply I got from Support today as I have been speaking back and forth with them.
