Follower count discrepancy

Big difference between follower count in artist profile and public profile. Why is this?

Since artist pages and user profiles aren't merged (anymore), the follower count can vary. 🙂

An explanation of sorts. But it still doesn't explain the variation, given that it's a single account. Monthly listeners are exactly the same, yet followers can differ by thousands.

Thanks for getting back.

Now I'm a bit confused, as user profiles don't have a monthly listener count. The only counts that exist for user profiles are the followers and following count.

Thanks for the screenshots.

Both screenshots show an artist page 🙂 The layout/design can look slightly different, depending on the platform you're using (e.g. Web Player, Desktop app, Mobile app).

You can visit your Spotify for Artists dashboard to find out the accurate number of followers of your artist page.

All these different layouts (on the same platform) are confusing and a **bleep** nonsense. When folk click Profile they see a dramatically reduced follower count - It's pointless for me to see the accurate number elsewhere.

If the follower count that you see within the Spotify app is drastically different from the one you see within Spotify for Artists, I recommend reaching out to their team so this can get looked into:
