Free account to student premium wont connect

I have just subscribed from free to Student account. Spotify has not linked existing free account to new account. Do I need to start all over again or can i transfer my free account playlists into student account?

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you enjoy your Premium.

 

Do you mean that you've created a new separate account while doing this? This isn't necessary as you can just change your subscription on your existing account and have your Premium there. This will also allow you to keep all your playlists, liked songs and such.

 

Consider checking if you really have a second account, where you already have an active subscription. If your Premium is on one account while your playlists are on another, then don't subscribe again as this will lead to you getting charged twice. Instead, feel free to reach out to our support team, they can assist you further. Make sure to have all of your payment information on hand, as our team will need it to find the payments and verify you as the account owner.
