How to remove all facebook music data that is shared automatically by Spotify

How to remove all facebook music data that is shared automatically by Spotify

Hi,

I have been listening to a lot of music and since the toggle for "Share my activity on Facebook" has been toggled the "Music" section in my Facebook profile is full of all kinds of music data (Recent Top Music, Radio Stations and Playlists).

Is there a way to force this data to be deleted? I have tried to "Remove Spotify" from my Facebook account that should remove all Spotify data but nothing is happening. As I have been listening to 100 songs on average per day for an year manually deleting each activity directly in Facebook is practically impossible.

Anyone has an idea on how to handle this.

If you like using the "Your Music" feature have in mind that you are LIMITED to 10 000 tracks. If you want this to be fixed vote for this post

Hello @SubzeroSC,

Here is guide how to remove all the activity from Facebook :

Click the arrow button -> Activity Log

Activity log

Click Allowed on Timeline and select Remove Spotify.

Remove Spotify

Check "Delete all your Spotify activities including posts, photos and videos on Facebook. This may take a few minutes."  and click Remove.

Check

Aaand it's gone : )

You will still see the activity, but it's not allowed on your timeline, therefore noone can see it, but you.

This was the first thing I tried. Unfortunately nothing of what is supposed to happen happens. No activity is deleted and all of the data is still present in my facebook account. Not sure why it is not working.

Hey @SubzeroSC,

Go to your activity log once again, and click "Block Spotify".

Block

This is going to wipe all the data. If you change your mind later, Spotify will ask you to unblock the application, when you try to log in with Facebook.

Thank you for your responses. I basically given up on deleting this data from fb as it seams impossible and embraced the fact that if I want to hide it I will need to indeed hide it rather than delete it. darn those fb user data leeches 😄
