I dont have any accounts linked to my email but says that i have an account linked

Im trying to change my email, and when im putting the new one, its appears a menssage in red that says "Sorry, this email address is taken” but i dont have any accounts linked to that email, i dont know what to do.

There can be several possible reasons as to why the email might appear as taken, but it definitely means there's an account with that address still present as an email address can only be associated with one account at a time. Consider the following:

• Make sure you're typing the address in correctly. If there's a typo, it might accidentally match the email address of someone else and that's why it appears as taken
• It's possible that there is indeed a different account with that email and that it was created in error. Consider trying to log into it, resetting the password if necessary. Then, you can change the address on the unnecessary account and delete it to free the desired address up right away.
• If you deleted a previous account with that email, it can take 14-30 days for the account to be fully deleted. Until then, the email address associated with it is still considered taken and you won't be able to use it in another account. Make sure to wait out this period if this is the case for you.
