I need to change my username urgently because I'm updating my personal information and I seriously need it.

Hey @user-removed! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^

Unfortunately at this time it is not possible to change an account’s username. The closest you can get is to link your Spotify account to your Facebook profile so that your Facebook display name is the one shown on your account.

If you are really desperate to change your username, it is possible to create a new account!

Hey @AnneLuy!

Actually, you should be able to choose any new username you would like to choose. Could you screenshot the error message or whatever appears after trying to choose your new username for your new account?

Regarding to your playlists, I'm afraid you have to create them all again on your new account. But don't worry, that's not as difficult as it may sound. Just be logged in into your new account on a computer, drag and drop your playlists from your old account into the left playlist side bar and they'll automatically be copied, however you'll have to add a playlist artwork and description again, in case you have these.

Just correcting myself here: you have to drag and drop your playlists onto the "(+) New Playlist" field to have them created in your new account. Sorry, my bad!

I thought so too, until I've seen an user getting his username changed. According to him the Spotify Support team were able to do that.
