My Question or Issue

I have the Spotify app on an iPhone and Spotify on the web browser, it's works fine, it's in Swedish. All is good there.

But when I go to my Account on a web browser the language changes to Finnish. On my profile the country is Finland and I can't change it. It's correct, because Åland Islands belongs to Finland. BUT Finland is bilingual - we have Finnish and Swedish. And to make you understand my problem better - I have moved here from Sweden. So to my point. Country is NOT equal to Language. Why can't you let us users choose what ever language we want to use?

Hey there @sollet,

Sorry to see you've been affected in this way.
We'd encourage you and everyone else with a similar issue to leave a vote for this Idea.
Despite its status, it's still open for voting and may hopefully get implemented once it reaches the necessary amount of votes.
Many thanks!

Hi @Vasil,

Thanks for your answer. I voted and replied in that thread. I'm a developer myself and it can't be that hard to change the behaviour of the app. And I can't understand the logic there.

But I think that the thread's issue is a bit wrong.

I think that the problem here is that Spotify app checks the device registration country and then sets the language of that country. As I wrote in the other thread - I live in Finland, Åland Islands (where almost all people speaks Swedish) and the language I got in Spotify is Finnish. Finland is bilingual - the official languages is Finnish and Swedish.

My device language is Swedish, so I can't understand why I get Finnish in the app.
