Locked out of Facebook = Locked out of Spotify Premium? So confused.

NOTE: This is not about the Spotify account I used to post this, but a secondary one I'm locked out of. You can't even use the community without being abel to log in?!?!

I stupidly connected my Spotify premium account to a Facebook profile that requires being authtnticated. Facebook has locked out my account until I provide them with ID proving who I am. I don't want to do this and would like to disconnect this profile from my Spotify account. However, I can't do this because I can't log in to Spotify. I guess I'm locked out of Spotify because of the Facebook issue? 

I can't reset my password for Spotify. I can't cancel it. I can't contact support without logging in. And yet...Spotify has no problem continuing to collect $10 a month from me. 

How can I disconnect from my Facebook account without having to go through the pain of authticating it through Facebook and giving them ID? I find it to be a poor product issue to be so compleyely locked out of one account because of the action of another, despite one of the account auto charging me money. I should be able to access my Spotify account regardless of the status of my FB account. PERIOD.

If for some reason you are logged in on some browser with this account, go to "Account" > "Profile" and update your e-mail to another one. Now, on reset password screen, give this new one intead of the one from facebook.

I'm not logged in on another browser, so I woukdn't be able to do that. 😞

Hey @ctrubey,

Since you already created a new account with an email, I suggest you to fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges, library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

With your new Spotify username you won't have to rely on Facebook to login anymore.
