Moving to another country and changing type of subscription

Solved!

Moving to another country and changing type of subscription

Good afternoon,

I am currently living in the UK and have a premium subscription with Spotify. I am moving to Brazil in September and will be living with my sister and my cousin who have set up a spotify family premium that I would like to join.

How will I be able to do this process? I' ve looked through the topics and nothign this specific has been asked before. I'm not sure if I should cancel my subscription here first and if I do that, will I lose all of my playlists? Then how can I be added to their family subscription? Will this affect my playlist at all?

Would appreciate assistance with this as it seems a bit complicated.

Thank you,

Rachel

Hey @rachelalvarez,

If you cancel your subscription and your account reverts back to Free, you will not lose your playlists but offline music will be removed from your device(s).

Once you're in Brazil, you should be able to change your account's country in the account settings (Make sure you're back on the Free plan before trying to do so).

Let me know if you need help with anything else 🙂

That's great. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I'll give it a try once I'm there and I'm sure everything will be alright but, if it isn't, I'll post again in the community.

Cheers,

Rachel
