Dear Spotify Community,

 

I just realized I'm paying twice for my Spotify Premium. Actually I always had the student price with 4.99€ per month, which I've always paid. Right now I saw that I additonally pay 9.99€ per month since December 2015 and I'm not sure why. Both is payed from PayPal for the same email address, so I'm not sure if this should ever happen 😄

 

So.. I payed way too much actually and I'm asking if there is a possibility to get the money back and make sure there won't be additional payments in the future? I hope I have solved the latter on my own by disabling the subscription on paypal, but I'm not sure if that works.

 

Any help is obviously appreciated, since i would be glad, if i hadn't blown that much money away 😄

Hey @seschnei,

 

Do you get email receipts for your subscription purchases? Search for one of them in your email account. In it, the Spotify username you're paying for is shown:

 

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

If you're getting charged twice, it probably means you're paying more than one account. Checking your receipts is a way to confirm that.

 

In any case, you should contact customer support through this contact form. They'll help you sort things out. They take, at the most, 24 hrs to get back to you. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

 

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.

Thanks for your fast reply @osornios ,

I've checked my mails and find the mail for the subscription purchase for the 4.99€ subscription with correct Username/ID, but nothing for the other one. The paypal payment notifier just appears somewhen and I cannot find a single Spotify related mail connected to it 😄

I also followed your recipe link and it only shows the 4.99€ payments as well. Also checked if I have an account registered with another mail account, but found no Spotify message there.

 

Anyways, I'll contact the support as you said and probably link to this thread, so additional replies are still appreciated 🙂
