Music cuts out randomly via Bluetooth.

When I am playing a track from my laptop (2015 Lenovo X1 Carbon) through my Bluetooth speaker (Alexa), it will randomly drop sound but the Spotify app shows that the music is still playing. This is what I have tried so far:

1. Uninstalled my Bluetooth software and reinstalled it.

2. Made sure that the acceleration feature is not enabled.

3. Made sure that the high quality streaming feature is not enabled.

4. Uninstalled other audio device drivers and reinstalled them.

5. Made sure that my Alexa speaker is on the same wifi connection as my laptop.

This is not always an issue and playing music will sometimes work without problems, but it is a problem more often than not. I am not sure where to go after this. Thanks for any input that you guys may be able to offer.
