My friends can't see what im listening to

I've tried turning off "share my listening activity" on social tab and then turned it on and then signed out everywhere but neither worked. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here.
The only thing that comes to mind is to suggest you to check the app is up-to-date. Check your device's operating system is up-to-date. Restart the app. Log out of Spotify, then log back in.

Just to make sure, have you followed these specific steps to turn this option on?

If so, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. This one is more thorough than the usual one.

In case that the issue persists after that, could you let us know the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device?
