Not receiving any email notifications

Over the past year or so I've been having a problem regarding missing out on notifications of new releases; this is because Spotify decided to limit the number of notifications at any one time to 20, presumably because of more than that causing instability, I'm presuming.

Recently, @SpotifyCares informed me that I could receive email notifications of new releases as well, and these were not limited. Also, I could choose to have a once-daily notification. A couple of weeks ago I had 53 notifications in a day so this would be ideal.

So I went to set up my notifications. The first problem I came across was that it wasn't possible to set up a daily notification for new releases; the radio button for this option is greyed out. In fact, there are only three options that I can choose once-daily notifications for:  'People subscribe to your playlists', 'Music recommendations' and             
'New user tutorial'. The rest are all greyed out. Is this how it is for everyone else? @SpotifyCares suggested this is the case.

So, okay; I'll just have to have notifications immediately. It's not ideal because I get a lot but it's better than missing out on them as I'm doing every week. The problem is, however, that I  haven't received any at all.

So I'm wondering if anyone has a problem with receiving them, or if it's just me. I've had a search but can't see anything obvious.

Hmm I have a similar problem. I can check all radio buttons (none of them is greyed out) but I don't receive any mails. I don't want recommendations and some other updates, but I DO want to get emails when someone follows me and/or my playlists and I haven't received any of these mails in over a year I think. Also not in the client; I always have to click on my profile and check manually if there's a new follower.. 😞

Yeah, this is what I see when I go to my account email options:

Only able to check three once-daily notifications.

Bloody annoying to have in-app notifications throttled then to be told, "Don't worry, you can get them emailed," only for that not to work either. Must try harder, Spotify.

Ahh you are talking about the "once daily" buttons.. Well, this is the default setting for everyone. If you want to activate them, you need to check "immediately". I think for the most of these notifications it's not possible to receive them daily.
