Other Devices Connecting/Compromised Account

Other Devices Connecting/Compromised Account

For the past week or so, or ever since I purchased a premium subscription, I have had an issue where devices would automatically connect to mine and they would play their music.  At first it was one device named 'S3 Note' or something along those lines, and they would just play their own music and maybe add a song or two to my library.  Now, however, there is a device named something like 'Kyara's Phone' that won't just play their music on my devices, but today removed a large chunk of songs from my library and added their own playlists/deleted mine.

I have already tried the 'log off everywhere' feature on multiple occasions, I verified that the account is still under my email and all the information is correct, and I even changed my password, but the problem still persists.  I have looked around multiple forum threads to see if anyone with a problem similar to mine was given a working solution, yet was unable to find any valid replies that go beyond what I have already tried.  I am using spotify on a home computer using a home wireless network, and I use it on my android phone using mobile data while I'm not at home.  Both devices get hijacked.

I have been using spotify for a couple years now, and I've had no problems with the service up until now.  Seemingly when I started paying for premuim, other devices have been able to take over my account, and I'm questioning the security of the service as a whole.  Especially as a student paying half price for premium AND getting Hulu for free, it's a hard deal to say no to.  However, if this problem persists and I'm not even able to listen to my own music anymore or have control over my own account and devices, I just see no point in continuing to pay for a broken service.

Hey @TheSovietMudkip,

I'd recommend taking a look at this support article: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/privacy/someone-has-gained-access-to-my-account/.

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I'm having a similar issue.

I see a Spotiamb 0.2.1 on Spotify Connect while at work (wired connection). Sometimes my music stops and Spotify connectects to Spotiamb and plays other music (never heard before).

I disconnected a couple of apps I had on Spotify, problem persist.

At the moment as well, if I navigate the support forums, I don't see my profile up top but a "GYSTSPOTIFY". Attaching screenshot.

One of the apps I deathorized was the integration with the Lithium community (this).

This is not my account (GYSTSOTIFY). No idea why I am able to post under this username,

*UPDATE* Shortly after I made this post, it seemed as though some form of action was taken on my account.  When I checked my spotify, it had force logged me out of my devices, and after logging in the problems I mentioned have since ceased.  So far it's onlt been a little over a day, but so far the problem seems to be fixed.  While trying to fix it myself I logged out everywhere multiple times and that never helped, so I assume some other actions were taken that I don't know about, so unfortunately I don't know what to tell anyone else.

If the problem returns I'll either make a new post or bump this one, but for now my issues seemingly vanished overnight after making this post.
