People can't search for my profile

My Question or Issue

One of my friends tried to search my name but my profile didn't show up. A while ago it was enough to type my name to search since my profile is connected to my facebook account. I wonder what the problem is?

Hey @fpkoksal!

Spotify have removed the advanced search function. Give your friend your profile uri for him to find it. Profile URIs look like this: spotify:user:8bnd8hoecpysgzzwxkybrfd7h.

The thing is, people search for other profiles by typing names but not for mine.

I also tried to search for other people and I assume I can only see the results of the people that I'm friends on facebook. Is this the latest update about it?

I don't think it makes sense to not be able to find people by searching the name. Hear me out Spotify 🙂

What device are you using? Could you please try a clean reinstall?

Me too.
I can't search users by their names.
I used to search for digital influencers or musical columnists in spotify. But now I can no longer use this feature.
The search looks pretty limited.

mine doesnt let people search me either, but when they look up the name of my playlists they can find my profile!
