Why cant i remove stuff i dont want? Podcasts, rap caviar, daily wellness. I pay for premium, but its still like forced adverts. And pay for some real help centre staff.

Why am i labelled as a visitor?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out to the community. Spotify is not an app you can just remove whatever you want, it is a music app where you can listen to music and not to try to control things. It is just the way it is for Spotify, but if you think you really need it you can put your idea on the "idea submissions page." Spotify Developers will then look at your idea to see if it is a good idea, and will reply back to you. 2nd you are labeled as a visitor for how many badges you earn in the community. As you get more and more badges your label will change. Hope this helps!

Have a wonderful day!

"Spotify is not an app you can just remove whatever you want, it is a music app where you can listen to music and not to try to control things."

That is precisely the issue - as a platform that prides itself on personalisation, the inability to engage with Spotify to advise what content you do/don't like and the lack of customisation means that customers will never truly feel well served.

Hey there @sa124,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Spotify constantly strives to improve the user experience with its features and the easiest way to achieve this is by regular app updates. That’s why we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestion with the Community.

If you think other users might also like a feature or you have a new idea on how to make the experience nicer, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board, as @Joel-M suggested . We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented :slightly_smiling_face:

Bear in mind that Spotify runs on various platforms and has lots of users worldwide, so changing the design of some aspects takes longer than others.

Hope you find this info useful. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.

Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply, @alex – that's the point - there are multiple threads already open with this suggestion, which all have comments and likes from Spotify customers. Creating another post with exactly the same request probably won't change anything. But the ability to dismiss irrelevant content seems like such a simple ask – and would surely help to drive further engagement from customers.

This thread shows how poor support is
