Removing my Facebook connection to Spotify

Hey, i would like to be able to open spotify without signing in through facebook.  My problem is, whenever i click on "sign in via email" it says that my email is associated with my FB credentials, so i have to go through them.   What is the process for me to be able to just sign in without facebook?  I don't see any option to send a verification email, and when i delete the spotify app from my FB page, i just can't sign in to spotify.

Hi @user-removed, welcome to the community!

If you have to log into Spotify with your Facebook email and password, but don’t want to (or can’t because you’ve deactivated your Facebook account), here’s what you can do:

- You’ll need to create another account here. You can also upgrade to Premium.

- If you want to use the same email address now associated with your current account, you’ll need to reach out to us here to release the address for you to use.

- Contact us to move the playlists, collected songs and albums, and followers of your current account to your new one.

- If your current account is on a Premium subscription, cancel it here to stop paying for it.

- Log into your new (yet familiar) account!

hey, im not sure i've done everything correctly here.  I followed your link to relenquish my email address, it looped me back to the exact text you copied, which i followed again.  At this point there was a text entry field where i wrote "i would like to sign into spotify without facebook" then i got an email that doesn't confirm anything at all.   should i be waiting for a response or did i fill out the wrong form?
