Reset password link is forever expired

Can no longer log in, so I reset my password.  I go to my email and click the reset password link and it immediately says it's expired!  I have to create this fake account to even log in to get any help.  WTH?  A lot of BS to get help, but is there something jacked up with the password reset server??

Hey @user-removed, help's here. 

We suggest that you do the following:

1. Ask for a new password reset email.
2. Go to your password reset email.
3. Right-click the Reset password link and select Copy link address.
   Note: If you accidentally click the link before you do this, you’ll have to send for a new one.
4. Go to your web browser and open a private/incognito window.
5. Paste the link into the address bar.
6. Press Enter and continue.

That should do the trick!
