Hi,
So, we're a small label with a bit less than 100 albums released and we had a partner who used to distribute our albums to various streaming services. Now we have stopped our co-operation and we were planning to re-distribute the music using CDBaby. But from CDBaby's site I read that if an album has already been uploaded to, say, Spotify - the metadata needs to be 100% the same or else those albums/songs will be hidden. I mean, we're a classical music company and for classical music, the titles are often long and with different parts, there are often many-many performers which could be named somewhat differently or in different order etc, therefore getting the titles and everything else 100% the same as the previous company that did it, it's virtually impossible. So, I don't want to risk uploading 100 albums and paying alot of money for it and then only 10 albums are visible to the public.
Is there anything I can do or am I doomed?
I'd really appreciate your thoughts on that,
All the best,
John
