My Question or Issue

Does Spotify policy allow my sister to use my Premium account, such that I can listen to songs on my device while she listens to songs on hers? If not, would she and I qualify for any sort of family discount, even though we don't live together?

Hey @cphocking, welcome to the community.

Hope you’re doing great!

I’ll be happy to help answer your questions. To use the account by two people, isn’t planned by Spotify, which does have issues when playing music - because two people listening to music on one account at the same time isn’t possible. I would recommend switching to the Premium for Family plan.

In regards to the Premium for Family plan, everyone on this plan must:

  • Reside at the same address.
  • Meet the minimum age and all other requirements reading the Terms and Conditions.
So, in this case, your sister won’t be able to use this plan because she doesn’t reside at the same address, as you described.

You can learn more about Premium for Family here.

I hope this helps 😊
