Someone else using my Spotify

Someone else using my Spotify

Hi,

Hoping that someone will have a solution to my problem.

Basically ive had someone using my account, no, I have NOT shared any account information such as password etc.

I have done everything Ive been able to come up with in order to solve this problem.

I have 1) signed out from everywhere through Spotify 2) multiple times changed my password on Spotify 3) changed my password on Facebook ( Spotify is linked to Facebook)

i have now run out of ideas, can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Summer4dY,

I'd recommend taking a look at this support article: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/privacy/someone-has-gained-access-to-my-account/.

Thanks. 🙂

Hi Summer, sorry to hijack your thread.

am having exactly the same problem, I only login through facebook and DO NOT have a Spotify password and so cannot change it.

Over the last 2 weeks a person (or multiple people), and at least one person from France called Jessica of whom I have zero possibility of knowing or allowing access to my account has been listening using my account. And has deleted all my playlists, after hundreds of hours of curating them.

I have been a loyal member of Spotify for many years and have a premium family account but I will be lodging a complaint under the EU Data Protection Directive because Spotify is allowing others to see and update my account playlists and and allowing myself to see their information. There is a cross pollination or contanimation of account information going on.

There is no possibility that one or more people have compromised my Facebook account in order to use my Spotify account.

And yes I have logged out from all devices on multiple occassions.

See example screenshot of someone called Jessica using my account.

Of all my deleted playlists.

Of someone adding their device to my account.

Unless I can use my account because someone else is not using it then I will be cancelling and demanding a refund for the time that I was not able to use it.

I don't want to post my account information here but assume Spotify staff can find that out.

Hi. My ex is still using my spotify account and I wanted to 'unlink' or disconnect his android device to my account. What should I do? Hope you can help me out..

Hi. Thanks. Already did. Still no response.

Have the exact same problem. Account was created via facebook, changed my password over there and also have 2factor activated. No malicious logins there.

Deauthorized all my devices yesterday (and restored my deleted playlists), now today I can see in my recently listened to-section artists I definitely don't listen to.
