Hi,
i have a premium subscription. When I search for Queens of the Stone Age, the 2002 album Songs for the Deaf doesn't show up, whereas previous and later albums do.
Can anyone help me with this?
Regards
Bart

Hi,
just wanted to let you know that the Songs for the deaf album does show up completely in Spotify now. Problem solved.

Bart
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Is this the album you are looking for?: Queens Of The Stone Age – Songs For The Deaf
Can you play the tracks or do you get an error?

Hi Peter,
thanks for the reply. Yes, that's the album. I can only play tracks 2, 3 and 8. The other tracks are greyed out. When i try to play them, i get an error message saying "This track is currently not available in The Netherlands. If you have the file on your computer you can import it"

Bart

It sounds like the label or rights holder has removed those tracks from the netherlands for whatever reason, hopefully it is only temporary! If they have been removed by the label (although it does seem strange!) then there is not much Spotify can do about it normally.

Right. The funny thing is that their other albums, both older and newer, can be fully played. Maybe i'll ask the label or rights holder about this. Thanks for your time and effort.

You can complain to the rights holders or move to the Netherlands 🙂

I think that as a premium Spotify subscriber, it´s the Spotify specialized staff who has to deal with the right holders.

Spotify always try and get back any content that has been removed, however record labels are awkward about licensing and content at the best of times. Sometimes it helps get things moving when people get in touch with the labels directly to show there is a demand for their content on Spotify. It works better with smaller labels, I guess the big ones really don't care.

Hi there,
I'm here to say the same. Can't listen to the album in France (but we used to have the rights to listen to it a few months ago).
This message is just to say that it would be great to have the rights in france (like other qotsa's albums) instead of listenning to it on grooveshark or something like that. Maybe if you have many users asking for it, it would be easier for you.
Cheers 😉
Oh yeah, I totally understand it's not spotify's team's fault. I've justed posted this to help sending a message to the label or something. Maybe it could help if the team tell them that many french user can't wait to have the right to listen to this album on spotify.
😉
