Hi!
Im trying to add my wife's account to my family account, but she is getting a message saying;
"We could not add you to the family subscription, because your account needs to be in the same country as the owner of the subscription"
when trying to join.
Now I've checked, my account says Country: NL, and hers says Country: nl. Which is the same, but weirdly enough it is case-sensitive?
Can anyone help me?

I had this exact same issue.
Both my accounts were saying we were in the same country (AU), however I believe my partners and my own account may have been from the UK originally before we moved to Australia.
My partner was trying to accept on Google Chrome on Mac (no idea if this made any difference).
I contacted SpotifyCares on Facebook and they gave me this advice.
"Hey! Can you ask them to try accepting the invitation using an incognito window? Let us know if it helps."
Worked first time!

Hey I am having the exact same problem here, my brother who definately lives in the UK sent me an invitation however when I try to accept the message I get says that I have to be in the same country as the account holder! Spotify, unless my brother has emigrated without telling me then we still live in the same counry just 100 miles apart. It would seem that numerous people have this issue yet you have not commented to resolve, why?

Spotify have yet to fix this bug.
Lucky they're a monopoly, eh?
No need to worry about annoying things like customers...
Had to reach out to support chat (which i only found here, becuase it's of course not visible anywhere else).
