Spotify abroad

Hi there, I've recently moved to England permanently but I downloaded Spotify in New Zealand. I've been logged out of my account and can't get back in. Every time I try to, a message saying I can only use Spotify abroad for 14 days pops up. I've read you can change the country you are in by going into your account settings however I cannot do this as I've been totally logged out!

Most of those problems come from a difference between the country shown through your IP address, and the one in your profile.

First, check your IP address here.

After that, compare it to the country shown in your profile.

If you opened your account with Facebook, your country is tied to the country shown in your Facebook account, so you may need to change it there.

Finally, your payment method (if you used one for Premium) must match your country too, so you may need to delete it to update countries.

Change your country setting in your profile page so it matches what your IP address shows.

I've just run into the same issue, but in reverse (moving from UK to NZ). I wasn't able to login to spotify via the app on my phone, but managed to login via the website on my laptop. Once logged in, I was able to edit my profile and update my location. Once this was done, i could successfully log into spotify on my phone, with my library still in tact 🙂
