I'm logged in with facebook and i think i always have been (my account is from somewhere 2017 i think). The problem is that my facebook account was hacked 2 days ago and my brother reported it and now he cant find it so we think the account is deleted so my question here is; when my spotify account is connected with my facebook which i dont have anymore, what do i do? I dont have any problems right now but in the future if it log out for some reason or it could be anything how can i log in again with my facebook account i dont have?
Premium
Hey, I would suggest going into the privacy settings in your Spotify account (on the website). you should see the Facebook data section and there you can disable process my Facebook data. The account is linked to the email you have for Facebook so as long as you can access that email you can reset your password if necessary.
Okay so if i just uncheck that "process my Facebook data" i should be good to go? I do have access and i dont have any problems or unusual activity on my email yet..
Last question; Next time i have to log in, then i dont click on "log in with facebook" but just entering my email and password i used for my facebook or..?
yeah you should be fine since you can access the email for the Spotify account so if you uncheck the Facebook data thing you should be fine. the email is most important since you need it to change the password if needed. I'm pretty sure logging in with your email and password would work but I would try it on a separate device to make sure. don't log out of your account until the email successfully works! if that doesn't work we can try something else!
Okay i tried it now and i logged in. I didnt click on the log in with facebook option but straight through the normal email and password section and it worked. Now it should be a fine i guess? Do i have to change password to my email anyway?
oh i'm glad it worked! you can keep your current password, it shouldn't be a problem. happy listening!
Thank you. I will write back here if anything goes wrong...

Very long story short, I can no longer access my Facebook account that is linked to my Spotify Premium account. Right now I'm logged into Spotify on my devices and have been since before this issue occurred, however, now I want to update my plan to add my boyfriend so we can do Duo and change my card on file but I can't because I can't login to FB which means I can't access any admin on Spotify. Does anybody know if there's some way around this? Can I create a password/email login for the same account? Or will I have to start over? And IF I have to start over, how the heck do I cancel my old plan so I don't get dual-charged?
