Spotify for Artists - Completely intransparent process

Hi there,

i'm producing some music and it would be a plus - even if i'm not a Top-1000-Start - to enrich my appearance on Spotify and to get some more insight.

Spotify opened the Artist program - at least this is whats written.

However i've submitted the requests Weeks ago without any kind of reaction and i retried - same. This is pretty frustrating, as it is completely unclear what's going wrong (or not) and which status the requests has.

To make it worse, each time i try to login to the page, i can start over again - the already send request won't show up. 

IMHO this should be improved. If there's any reason for not getting access or if something is missing, it woul be the most basic thing in customer friendlyness to respond briefly with a hint or something else which allows to fix the request.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

If you've applied for verification/Spotify for Artists access, you should hear back soon don't worry. If you've still not heard in a couple of weeks, you might want to give them a shout via the contact form to check you added enough info for them to check the request.

I can just say you're not alone. Same story here - waiting for about a month already. I started a similar thread here a while ago, got the same template reply from Mr Maxim above, used the contact form and still nothing happened, and no reply from the team.

Make sure you provide all the details the Artist Team needs in order to verify you as the artist. Link to your Facebook page (not profile), soundcloud, myspace, homepage and if available Twitter. Link your Spotify account to your Twitter/Facebook account.

Make sure it is possible for them to see that you are the artist and the request should go through. I did the request for my friend and after a few days he got the signup email that he had access to his profile.

Make sure you provide the correct URI for your artist page, there are a few names that have the same name, make sure you pick your artist name.

I'd recommend waiting a little longer since the response may take between 3 or 6 weeks. Please note that sometimes it may take a little longer than that. 🙂
