Your playlists themselves are stored remotely by Spotify so they will be fine, but this will remove any offline content you have meaning you would need to resync any offline playlists you have.
Before doing that it might be worth rebooting your device by holding down the home and lock buttons together until the apple logo appears on screen and see if that makes any difference?
