My Question or Issue

I have applied and been verified by SheerID for student discount however when I now try to apply it it get stuck on the screen shown in the attachment.

I have tried in my phone and laptop and on mobile data and WiFi and it is the same every time.

Can anyone help?

If you're verified by SheerID and can see the discount, the last step you need to do is to click here to update the payment details. That way, the discount will be activated with your next billing date. 

Here you can keep an eye on the subscription and check if the upgrade went smoothly.

I just tried what you advised but it just took me to the same screen.

Kind of at a loss what to do here as nothing seems to work.

Could you let us know you current subscription that you have on Spotify?

Keep in mind that you can't combine discounts and if you have the Family plan, you'd need to cancel with the steps here and try subscribing for the Student plan when you're on the free service.

If you're not on the Family plan, we can suggest waiting a few days before subscribing again in case this was a temporary error.
