Unable to change country to Canada, Premium plan unavailable

My Question or Issue

I've been a spotify premium user for 7 years in the US. I recently moved to Canada. The instructions to change my country have been followed, but it takes 2 attempts to get it to change to Canada. Then I am unable to select a Premium Plan, it says "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium." I've tried every trick in the book to get past this (different browsers, clearing cookies, using incognito, etc.). I am unable to select a Premium Plan in Canada no matter what.

I have a payment method based in Canada (credit card) ready to go. But there seems to be no way to actually continue giving spotify money in Canada.

Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out.

In your case, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

Once that's done, you can subscribe to a plan using your payment method that's been issued in Canada at https://spotify.com/premium.
