Hey @Cj1980,

You'll have to cancel your Premium subscription via Vodafone and once it has ended, you'll be able to subscribe to Premium for Family at https://spotify.com/family

Hope this helps!

Hi thanks for the reply. Not really worth it then, as my Vodafone bill won't reduce by £9.99, so guess it's not an option to upgrade for me. Be cheaper just for the wife to subscribe herself since mine is built into my phone contract. Thanks

That’s not a resolution. That would cost us more to do that. Vodafone should be looking into this WITH Spotify

Maxim,

this makes no sense for Spotify or users.

If I had the option to pay an additional £4.99 a month to upgrade my Premium that is currently offered by Vodafone to a family subscription, I would do it.  However, if I have to forfeit the free £9.99 from Vodafone and then pay the full £14.99, I won't do it, so I am missing out on a better subscription, and Spotify is missing out on an extra £4.99 a month. Everyone loses.

There are 1000's of people in the UK who have Vodafone Red bundes with free Spotify Premium and I'm sure that many of them feel exactly the same way. as I do This is a huge missed opportunity by Spotify to get more money from your subscribers.

I agree. I have my Spotify premium through my vodafone plan and would happily pay either Vodafone or Spotify £4.99 to upgrade to Spotify Family if either one of them would let me.

It seems odd that no one wants to take my money!

Come on spotify lets make this happen... Its money for nothing for you guys to sort this out.

I chose Vodafone because it came with Spotify Premium and I thought I'd then be able to upgrade to Family for £4.99. Instead, you want me to cancel my Premium and continue paying a higher fee with Vodafone to then purchase Family at an additional £14.99. At what point does this make sense. Just charge me an extra fiver and I'll continue being happy that my family can use Spoitfiy Premium.

Vodafone Red providing Spotify Prelimum is a major reason to stay with Vodafone. Now my kinds want it as well and I just want to pay the additional £4.99 on my Vodafone Red plan next year. As it stands, I pay over the odds for my Vodafone plan because of spoitify premium being ioncluded, but if I have to lose it too ugrade, it makes sense to look elsewhere for a cheaper plan and pay the £4.99 direct. Vodafone need to get onto this one - they could find this being a negative retention issue. If offered, it could even swing others not with Vodafone over from other providers

This is not acceptable. Either provide family or not at all. I've wasted time subscribing, then has to cancell and now have to wait 3 months for it to come off my account before I can subscribe to the family account via spoity.

It's annoying that this still hasn't been addressed by Vodafone or Spotify. My boyfriend currently shares my Spotify, and it drives me insane if I'm using it and then I get cut off because he starts using it. I'd be much happier if I could just upgrade to family. I actually didn't realise until I came here that cancelling Spotify through Vodafone won't reduce my plan by £9.99 though, so I'm glad I didn't just go ahead and do it!
Get on this please Spotify/Vodafone
