When using offline does it use my service?

I don't want to use my service for spotify when I don't have wifi so I turned on offline. While using the offline songs does it still use my service?

Theoretically, it should use a minimal amount of your data service when listening to offline playlists...I would assume part of the usage that continues would come from just transferring data to Spotify regarding what you're listening to, getting updates, etc; however, I've seen reports from users of continued high data usage, and the best way to ensure you don't use any data would be to turn on Offline Mode from the Spotify settings on your device. This will turn off all communication to the service and only give you access to content you've downloaded.
