Why won't premium let me skip or shuffle songs?

My son has had a premium account when he entered his payment this last time it now will not let him skip or shuffle song.  Is there a setting he needs to click it is like he has been bumped down to the free version even though he has paid the subscription fee.

That's not cool. Best thing to try here is a reinstall. Just follow the steps at https://support.spotify.com/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/.

I’m also having this issue and it was not resolved after reinstalling. 

When I play a song from a playlist the bottom bar that lets you see the song/queue/skip buttons and all that just doesn’t show up at all.
