I feel your pain! On 19th January 2015 I signed up for a 'deal' offering 3 months of 'Spotif'y Premium' at a cost of 99p per month and I was immediately charged £9.99. Now it seems the only way out of this is to cancel my subscription which will reduce my membership to the advert-riddled 'Spotify Free'.

I've been paying £4.99 per month to use Spotify Unlimited for around four and a half years now, I have NEVER bought Premium before nor have I ever taken advantage of any 'Free Trials' or 'Special Offers' during my time as an 'Unlimited' subscriber. I cannot get emails from Spotify despite having updated my email address at least four times, thus I am not recieving replies to my calls for help!

I am so angry - I feel I've been robbed, of the extra £9 I've been charged for what was meant to be a bargain but mostly, of my use of Unlimited which I'll not get back as it doesn't exist anymore! Spotify!!!

BOOOOOO!!!!! POOR SHOW, Spotify!!!!!

It seems to me that the powers that be at Spotify take little or no notice of the comments on this blog.  I have recently suffered the same fate as many on here - my Unlimited subscription being cancelled without warning because my debit card expired.  I have had a Spotify account almost since the companay started and I think I, and others like me, have been treated unfairly by being offered Spotify Free or Premium, without the option of renewing Unlimited.

I am not happy with either the free version or the Premium version.  I would like to see the reinstatement of Unlimited as I have no intention of paying £9.99 per month for an online music streaming service.

Hello Beckfoldcottage.

Many thanks for the only acknowledgement I've recieved regarding my post (excluding the seemingly automated one that advises me to contact Spotify then re-contact them on reciept of an automated response - besides, I didn't even get an automated response!

I completely agree with everything you've said. It certainly seems that Spotify are failing to even acknowledge the grievances voiced by long-term, loyal customers regarding the under-handed methods that are being used to force them off long-existing 'Unlimited' subscriptions. I am also not happy to pay double the amount I had been & I totally resent the fact that I was literally tricked into giving up my 'Unlimited' subscription.

I've sent several messages to Spotify via their 'Contact Us' page but have no response whatsoever. I am disgusted at this display of arrogance & bored by Spotify's declaration that it is a 'Community' & therefore customers may have to wait for replies to the messages they send. I sent my messages over one month ago. How long do Spotify think we should wait? How busy would their Customer Services be right now if they actually cared enough to have one?

I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE SPOTIFY REINTRODUCE THE UNLIMITED SUBSCRIPTION.

I'd also like some sort of response from Spotify because, community run or not, it's a big business & SOMEONE must be responsible for addressing customers complaints & questions! As of yet I haven't cancelled my subscription but if I don't recieve any feedback from Spotify within a month of writing this I think I'll be compelled to do so as a form of protest at having been ripped off & then, when I voiced my complaint, being treated with utter disdain. As I said before, BAD SHOW, SPOTIFY!!!

Don't be silly. Spotify don't even read this stuff.
They simply have us talking to each other, solving, and answering our own issues instead of having Customer Service.
It's called give us your money and talk to each other while we count it and figure ways to increase the profit margin!
