Is there any error messages when your trying to log in?
just the fact that I seem to be using a wrong id or a wrong password
with the exact same id and password I can login on the website

yep I did, already twice and surprisingly I always can login with the new pasword on the website but still not on the application itself. I do get an error code 3
Do you have a username connected to your email. If so try to use your username instead of your email.

Sorry, that's not possible if you're using an email. Instead can you try to run Spotify as administer.
Other idea, if I would completely cancel my account and recreate, would that help ?
