not functional Premium on Android

Solved!

not functional Premium on Android

Hello

I have a Premium (Family to be exact) account, I can log in on my Desktop and use Spotify without issues.

When I use Spotify on Android I can log in (same credentials, I can see my Avatar and username) it suggests getting Premium, I cannot see my Playlists and cannot un.shuffle.

I tried the howtos available in this forum, uninstalling the app, deleting the com.spotify...-folders, rebooting, deleting the offline devices on the website and reinstalling the app. No success.

I cannot fully use my paid account like this!
Thanks for any help!
Simon

Finally found the solution:

It is possible to have multiple accounts with THE SAME USERNAME! I wasn't aware of this.

I logged in to my device with my username and password A (from memory), whereas I logged in to the web player with the identical username and the (autosaved) password B.

Both logins were accepted as 'correct' but feeded 2 different accounts!

Good to know!

Thanks for the hint with the acccounts.

Hey @wengersimon,

It is highly unlikely that Spotify has disabled your subscription.

Please check that you have logged in with the right email, or that you have not signed in with a duplicate account. A good way to do this is to:

  • Try signing in with Facebook.
  • Try using a different common email you own.
  • Try using a different username to login.

If you still cannot login to your Premium account:

  • Check your subscription page. Your status should be Premium.
  • If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app.
  • If it says Free, check the receipt we send to your email inbox. Make sure you're signing in with the username on that receipt. If the username on your receipt is a 10 digit number, please sign in with your Facebook login details.

If you have lost full access to the significant account, please refer to the links below to contact a Spotify employee so that he can take a look under the hood.

Hello,

I was former premium paying via Itunes account. Changed my phone to Android (OS is Android, phone is Samsung S7 Edge) and suspended payment on iphone. My premium expired around 2 days ago. On my Android I made yearly subscription with one card (didn´t checked if was charged yet) and nothing happened, same 2 days ago. Today, tried with an International card (i´m from Brazil) wich has an App on my phone, and same time got the message that I was charged on the yearly subscription. But, I´m still becoming message that my premium account is on standby.

So, not any contact yet. What's going on here? Payment was made, credit card charged, still premium paused message and still no response from support.
