i have a premium membership of my own, but i just got a basic and free membership for my daughter. after i logged her in, i wasn't able to select a song to play, as it would only shuffle songs from the artist i had chosen. is this normal? i never had a basic membership myself, so, i don't even know the difference between premium and basic memberships, or the pros and cons of each. my main question would be, am i able to listen to music of my choice, if i had a basic membership, or does spotify become more like pandora, if you don't pay for the premium membership? i could not find any information on the spotify website to distinguish between the two. thanks for your time and help.

Have you logged in using the same credentials you used when subscribing to Premium.
Have you tried logging out/logging in on your Spotify account?
