´your spotify is playing in another device´

Solved!

´your spotify is playing in another device´

Hello,

I was listenning to spotify on iphone when it suddenly stopped and said `it had been paused because it was being played somewhere else´. it said it was being used n my computer but my computer was off and spotify closed on it. when i openned the last song played was the one my iphone also showed me but it was not a song i had played or even a singer i have ever played on here (amy winehouse). it actually happened twice in a 10 mins period. i mean, from my phone i ´turned off´my other device (computer) in order to be able to keep playing it there but afer a couple of minutes  it stopped again and gave me the same message. like i said the computer was ´sleeping´and spotify closed. it was then, after the second time that i ´woke up´my laptop to find what i already described above.

i mean, i dont remember using my spotify account anywhere else and like it said, it showed me it was being played on my computer -it called it by its device name and when i openned the spotify on it, the last song was the one it had showed me on my phone´.

any ideas???

thanks!

renz

Hello, and welcome to the Spotify Community!

First, let's try and see if anyone has got into your account. Go to your account page, click "SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE" and change your password. If it stops, it looks like someone's got into your account, but you just stopped them!

To be honest, I'm pretty sure if you do this everything should be fine. If it isn't, just respond back and I (or anyone else on teh community) can see what we can do for you.

I am not paid to help or say any views of Spotify AB or any of it's affiliates, so the least that you could do is share some kudos, or, if I helped you out, mark my post as a solution. It makes me all fuzzy inside

Hello!

It happened to me today, my account stoppend working, saying that it was been used on another device. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't and the name of the device wasn't mentionned where it usually does.

So i just changed my password still, but once again it keeps cutting. Is there a bug?
What could I do to make it stop?

Thank you for your help!!!

I’m having the same exact issues!! I need this resolved now

I get this too, i changed my password on facebook and signed out everywhere (both facebook and spotify) and less than 2 minutes after having logged in, i get the same message, that i listen on a samsung device.

We only have Huawei and window machines in the family.

I use facebook login.

Was just told i cant have downloaded music on more than three devices and it would be removed from this device, and random playlists are starting to appear,  I am the only user.
