My Question or Issue
I have changed my password and logout from all devices. While listening a playlist a random song from artist called 'Qlippoth' start to play and mute the sound. If I do nothing it just plays at background. When I press next song button few times it does back to my original playlist and continue. Also there are some playlist added which I have never listened.
Hey @kursatyurt,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
If you've come across music unexpectedly played with as well as playlists unexpectedly added to your Spotify, it'd be good to make sure no one is accessing your account in an unauthorized way.
For this purpose, it'd be great to bookmark and carefully follow all the steps in this support page article as well as this one since they feature some essential info regarding how to keep the safety of your account up-to-date. The steps in the first article under Passwords and Remove access to third-party apps are particularly good since they'll help you make sure no one is accessing your Spotify through your credentials or other online services eventually linked with your account.
Hope you'll find this useful. We'll keep an eye on your reply in case there's anything else we can help with!
Hey @kursatyurt,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Would you mind listing the exact steps you followed so far? It'll help us gain a more informed perspective of what you're experiencing in order to provide the most relevant suggestions.
We'll look out for your update and be available to help with anything else as well!
Hey @kursatyurt,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Sorry if my last question wasn't clear, but would you mind listing and naming "each" of the steps you followed and didn't work? It'll help us provide you with the most accurate suggestions to handle the situation.
Regarding the possibility to see what devices are currently connected to you account, you can always access this information by looking at the Connect tab (you can access it through the symbol when you're playing music with Spotify).
We'll look out for your reply and be here if there's anything else we can help with.
Just googled this - this is happening to me, driving me nuts!!! Qlippoth keeps playing randomly when I don't want to, never heard of them, don't want them
I'm having the exact same problem too. I signed out of all devices and changed password, but it's still happening.
It's always at the end of the song, never the middle and it switches to Qlippoth.
I got e-mails from Spotify that there were three logins from Russia last night on my account. Not sure what is going on. Maybe farming for money by using random accounts to "listen" to this artist.
For no obvious reason the problem has gone away for me (at least for now), what I don't get is what any hacker would hope to gain from this - it's not like they can scam anyone, and the music is so **bleep** awful they must be mad to want to hear it.
Yes, all those others appeared too. Tried to delete as much as I could but they kept coming back. Awful.
I feel your pain and wish I could help. All I know is I allowed my son to log in to my account for a few minutes, he said he didn't do anything to the settings, but after he logged off it was all back to normal. Maybe it will come back, but its a week now and all is OK. Good luck, and I hope someone from Discogs can come on and offer you a solution.
