My Question or Issue

I have changed my password and logout from all devices. While listening a playlist a random song from artist called 'Qlippoth' start to play and mute the sound. If I do nothing it just plays at background. When I press next song button few times it does back to my original playlist and continue. Also there are some playlist added which I have never listened.

Hey @kursatyurt,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

If you've come across music unexpectedly played with as well as playlists unexpectedly added to your Spotify, it'd be good to make sure no one is accessing your account in an unauthorized way.

For this purpose, it'd be great to bookmark and carefully follow all the steps in this support page article as well as this one since they feature some essential info regarding how to keep the safety of your account up-to-date. The steps in the first article under Passwords and Remove access to third-party apps are particularly good since they'll help you make sure no one is accessing your Spotify through your credentials or other online services eventually linked with your account.

Hope you'll find this useful. We'll keep an eye on your reply in case there's anything else we can help with!

Dear Mario,

I have already done these steps.

The problem is still not solved.

Yes, I exactly followed the required steps. If I can see on which devices my account is logged in it would be nice but it seems Spotify lacks many safety features.

Hey @kursatyurt,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Sorry if my last question wasn't clear, but would you mind listing and naming "each" of the steps you followed and didn't work? It'll help us provide you with the most accurate suggestions to handle the situation.

Regarding the possibility to see what devices are currently connected to you account, you can always access this information by looking at the Connect tab (you can access it through the symbol  when you're playing music with Spotify).

We'll look out for your reply and be here if there's anything else we can help with.

Just googled this - this is happening to me, driving me nuts!!! Qlippoth keeps playing randomly when I don't want to, never heard of them, don't want them

I'm having the exact same problem too. I signed out of all devices and changed password, but it's still happening.
It's always at the end of the song, never the middle and it switches to Qlippoth.

I got e-mails from Spotify that there were three logins from Russia last night on my account. Not sure what is going on. Maybe farming for money by using random accounts to "listen" to this artist.

Something has been altered on my account because when I play from my Discover Weekly playlist, skipping the song always goes off the playlist to a Qlippoth or Notabot song.

For no obvious reason the problem has gone away for me (at least for now), what I don't get is what any hacker would hope to gain from this - it's not like they can scam anyone, and the music is so **bleep** awful they must be mad to want to hear it.

I had the exact same thing few days ago until I changed my password and disconnected all my devices.
Qlippoth songs was playing but not only, there was : Notabot, Moltar, David Tsao
It even added some playlists into my account named "goodones", "thisnewstuff", "gj56", for example :

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7E9LK4dEXZjjWcSRIdKEr9?si=222h09zbTZepey-yCMRbfw
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/33DyuleEi433d0YwNr6vPy?si=TomOcfRsQ-KaTtW0PXHwaQ
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1Flll4gVGgQaUzBw7npGwa?si=r_Aae4u_RLSeoUsPIBx4LQ

Maybe it's some sort of illegal service hacker provide to promote some artists ..?
Interestingly it was the genre of music I like and I actually enjoy those artists lol

Yes, all those others appeared too. Tried to delete as much as I could but they kept coming back. Awful.

I thought I solved the problem by disconnecting all but Spotify services and disconnecting my facebook, but the problem has returned after a few days. I've changed my password three times and logged out of all devices each time. Not sure if they keep cracking my password or if they have a backdoor to my account. Either way, it's getting more and more difficult to enjoy my music, wondering if the next song is going to be one of mine.

I feel your pain and wish I could help. All I know is I allowed my son to log in to my account for a few minutes, he said he didn't do anything to the settings, but after he logged off it was all back to normal. Maybe it will come back, but its a week now and all is OK. Good luck, and I hope someone from Discogs can come on and offer you a solution.

I looked back over my connected apps and there is definitely a new one that I did not connect.

Maybe this is somehow related
