Help! Previously, the "Add To Home Screen" was working fine on my phone after I download the full album. Now there are some albums going to my Home Screen and some are not. Please correct this issue because it was working perfectly well before. This is a very useful feature. Thank you!

Hey @ebal58,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community!

We'd first recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your device by following these steps:

  1. Head here and click Remove all devices
  2. Go to your phone’s Settings.
  3. Select Applications, then Manage applications.
  4. Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it.
  5. Tap Clear Data.
  6. For a clean reinstall, go to Storage > Android > Data and delete a folder called com.spotify.music.
  7. Switch your device off and wait a couple minutes.
  8. Switch your device back on.
  9. Open the Google Play Store then search for and install the Spotify Music app.

Note: Any offline playlists will need to be redownloaded after reinstalling.

That should do the trick! However, if the issue persists after that, it would be helpful if you could let us know some examples of playlists that are added to your Home screen and some that aren't. You can check here how to find their URI 🙂

Let us know how you get on, we'll be right here if you need more help.

Still cannot see the "add to home" option which was there last time I checked

And now I lost all my home screen albums. 😐

Go to the album you want to add to home screen. Open the 3 dots top right. From the list go to open album.
Again open 3 dots top left and this time add to home screen appears at the bottom.

To add a playlists to your Home Screen:

Play the playlist so it that it is in your "Recently Played"

Slow press the Spotify app launch button.

Then a list of Recently Played playlist appears, Slow press the playlist you want to add to the Home Screen.

Sweet!!!

You should check which permissions you've given the app. To check this slow press de Spotify app lunch button, then go to "App info", then scroll down to "Other permissions" or "App permissions" (not sure how is shown in your device) and allow "Home screen shortcuts", that should do it!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

This method didn't work for me. I had plenty of playlist on the home screen, inside folders, but for some reason I can't do it anymore as the option disappeared from the list of options when I click the "..." inside the playlist. Deleting data and cleaning the cache, reinstalling the app and downloading the app again didn't do the trick 😞

Hey @BenjaminFicus,

Could you possibly be referring to this?
If yes, it is a test and your account UI may have been reverted to how it previously looked.
In case you feel like doing so, you may leave your feedback in the thread as well.
Thanks!

P.S.
In case your issue is somewhat different, do let us know and we'll gladly take a further look into it 🙂
Cheers!
