Album cover as background

Hello!

When I listen to music and see the lockscreen, so there is the album cover of the track that Im listen to. Is it possible to set the album covers as background? so that it changes automatically with each song.

Sorry, I know this thread is years old already. I just want to reply, because somebody might see this and is still looking for a solution.

There is a workaround which requires an app called "Muzei Live wallpaper" (link 1). Since this app is open source, people can create extentions for it. One of them is called "Muzei Music Extension" (link 2) and does exactly what you want.

You will need to set it up and give the app notification access, in order to let it see what song you are currently playing. Keep in mind that is might use your mobile data in order to download the cover from last.fm if is can not find it on your phone for whatever reason (song not fully downloaded by spotify etc.).

What version of android are you using? I have a feeling that full screen cover art is a feature of android 4.3.

Android 4.4.2. In the lockscreen the covers are displayed in fullscreen, thats Ok. But I dont want to see the covers only at the lockscreen, I want to see the covers in fullscreen also when the phone is unlocked.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood. No there's no way to do this although it would be pretty cool, especially if we can have higher resolution covers.

Do you know were Spotify stores album art in the Android system? If so, you can use Tasker to get the picture and set as wallpaper.  I am looking into this myself for the same reason

They'll be in the encrypted cache and inaccessible to third party apps.

Now I was searching for this feature. Would be really cool.

Yes, please!
