My Question or Issue

I logged into my account and saw that I can't play a single song and absolutely all playlists are empty. I don't know what this could be connected with. Moreover, this problem is only in the application. There is no such problem on the website. What should I do to fix my account? I have already reinstalled the app.

My Question or Issue

Is there any way to fix my spotify? I made an alt account to see if it was my deivce and not my account. It's my account. My problem is that i don't want to transfer over 2,000+ songs to an alt account when my account should work just fine. Every time i go into spotify, all songs are greyed out. Or of they aren't and i try to play a song then it skips through 10 songs really fast and then stops. Just the other day my spotify was working fine! Now it's being buggy. I haven't moved recently so that's not what's going on.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging out and back in, turning off and on settings. Nothing worked! This is getting extremely frustrating. I just want to listen to my music on spotify!

Seems to work fine on pc but on phone and tablet nothing works. It's strange and bothersome. I like to listen on my phone so i can do other things without having to be tethered to my computer.

zphr well yes we can do that but some people might have 4k songs in their liked songs and respectfully no one is getting mp3s of all that 🫠

I also have this issue, any client besides web and desktop do not load playlists and liked songs.

Nothing has helped so far, changing DNS, using VPN, clearing data, logging out and back in.

I noticed my playlist was completely empty. I didn't delete anything from it.

Everyone who has this issue in this thread possibly use APKs to pirate their music on Spotify. And Spotify being the money-hungry capitalist machine it is, has once again started to crack down on modded APKs making them unusable. This is why your music won't show in playlists.

I have the same problem on Android. Reinstalling, changing location, or any other fixes don’t help. My playlists are empty, and I can’t listen to any music. However, when I log into my account on an iPhone, everything works fine. But I need it on my Android 🥲

Hi, I have tried a clean reinstall and checked that the country of location matches the one mentioned in my account, although I have been staying in the same area. But the problem persists for me. Can you please advise us to solve this and also move this issue from 'solved' to 'ongoing'? Others have also reported that they still see the issue after following the mentioned steps.

 

Hi, I am not able to use the Spotify App on my phone to play any music. It disabled me from listening to any music on my phone, but somehow works fine on my laptop app. It also says that I don't have any music on my playlist when viewed on my phone, and when I go to an artist's playlist and try playing the music from there, it just says "You discovered a Premium feature!" Everyone in my family is also experiencing this problem. Does this mean that we are forced to upgrade to one of the premium packages to listen to music again?

Kodank the issue persist on newest version from play store + people having this issue aren't just free users that might actually crack it, but premium too 

I have premium and experiencing the same issues.

@Kodank, Mate I believe you don't know what you are talking about, I was using an outdated version, I didn't want to update since I liked the old simple version. Still have trouble.

Out of frustration from Spotify not working on my phone for 2+ days, I decided to look into alternatives.  Spotube, an app that accesses your Spotify account to grab your saved songs and then find the audio from other sources like YouTube, threw up this error message when I attempted to log in.  I'm not a web dev, but this sure looks like the problem is on Spotify's end.

So guys, I did some reading and it is definitely on Spotify's side. They recently changed some things at the API side of the application. They started working on it a couple of weeks ago but probably released it a couple of days ago.

I have tried clean reinstalling, using outdated app versions, re-logging multiple times but nothing worked. All my playlist are empty (or when I enable "show unavailable songs" I can at least see the songs) but I can't play any songs other than songs saved locally on my android device. It started happening last monday on the 3rd of march. Since then I was not able to use Spotify like I used to. There's some server-side stuff on your end breaking proper use on Android devices... Please have someone have a look.

Hey there. I have done all these steps. But the problem is still there.

Got a Redmi Note 8 Pro and have the same issues. And nothing helps.

Spotify doesnt care... the problem has been going on for a month and there is still no solution, this is how they treat their customers.

time to switch to yt music i guess 😕

Soundcloud is a good alternative and free
