Android Auto Spotify takes over home Spotify

My Question or Issue

We have a Galaxy Tab that is used solely for streaming Spotify at home. We also stream Spotify on my phone when we're away from home. The plan only allows for 1 device be used at a time. The problem is that when I connect my phone to my car and use Android Auto, Spotify will take over by itself and turn off the service that's streaming at home. Obviously we'd want this to happen if we opened Spotify from Android Auto, but this happens even if I'm just listening to the car's radio or using the Android Auto Audible app. If someone is listening to Spotify at home and I connect to Androud Auto, it kills Spotify at home.

How can we stop this?
